Plainly, and before anything else: Positano Tours may earn a commission when you book through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you.
What that means in practice
The tours listed here are sold by Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.
What we are not
We are not a tour operator, a ferry company, a transport authority or a ticketing authority. We do not run any of these boats or cars, employ any of these crews or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.
We have no connection with the Comune di Positano, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, the municipalities of Capri and Anacapri, SITA SUD, the ferry companies or MAR Positano.
How tours get listed
Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. The badges are arithmetic: the best seller is the one with the most reviews, the best value is the lowest per-person fare on the site, and the top-rated one carries a 5.0 rating.
Where one operator sells a similar day on both platforms, both listings appear, because both are separately bookable. The three featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different kinds of day, all starting in Positano.
Prices, ratings and how current they are
Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were read from their own listings on 11 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Where a listing was on a temporary promotion that day, the regular price is shown. Everything is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing here is converted at an exchange rate. Four products are priced per group and say so wherever their price appears.
Where we state a fact about fees, transport or the town, it comes from the body that sets it: the Archaeological Park of Pompeii for the ticket, the Comune di Positano for the tourist tax, MAR Positano for its hours, and the ferry operators for their routes.
What we deliberately do not publish
- A ticket price for MAR Positano. The museum sells tickets through its own system and publishes no price on its site.
- SITA bus fares or ferry timetables. Both change by season and year, and the operators' own pages are the only safe source.
- A sea temperature by month. No reputable source we could cite publishes one for this coast.
- Climate figures for Positano itself. No station publishes normals for the town; the weather page uses Salerno's and says so.
